Office Interior Photography, Oxford
Regular client Oxford Innovation brought me in to capture some corporate interior photography of their Grassroots centre.
I photograph quite a lot of office interiors but this one deserves special mention for giving me major office envy. As a photographer you’re constantly on the road or working from home, but the whole vibe of this office was so laid back and modern, definitely the kind of place I’d work from if my job was a little more desk bound.
Photographically this place effectively shoots itself and no matter where you point the camera there’s a nice frame to be had. We opted for nice clean wides of the space, adding people in sparingly as to not make each frame feel too cluttered.
Shot with a Canon R5, 24-70mm on a tripod. Main bit of advice for office interiors like this is to use a tripod. Firstly it allows you to stack exposures (if needed) and something I do out of habit when shooting interiors, just incase you need the extra detail in post. It also slows down the shooting process significantly, meaning you compose more thoughtfully, spot mess in the background and construct an image with a bit more detail.
The edit on this was pretty straightforward, mainly involved bringing depth to the blacks, bringing details out in the shadows and balancing some of the hotspots the overhead lights made.
